Description
Hops (Humulus lupulus) are the papery green cones — strobiles — of the hop vine, famous for bittering beer and beloved by herbalists in their own right. Their aroma is resinous, piney, and citrus-peel bright; their flavour is decidedly bitter. In traditional practice hops were traditionally used to support restful sleep, relaxation at the end of the day, and comfortable digestion after heavy meals. Infuse briefly for tea and blend with gentler herbs, or tuck dried hops into sleep pillows. Traditional uses reflect historical practice and are not proven clinical effects. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition, consult a qualified healthcare professional before use.
