Description
Olive leaf (Olea europaea) is the narrow, silvery leaf of the Mediterranean olive tree, used in the region’s herbal practice for as long as the fruit has been pressed for oil. The leaf is cleanly bitter, thanks to its natural compound oleuropein. It has traditionally been used to support immune health during seasonal changes, heart and circulatory health, and healthy blood pressure already within the normal range. Infuse as a tea and blend with mint or lemon balm to lift the bitterness. Traditional uses reflect historical practice and are not proven clinical effects. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition, consult a qualified healthcare professional before use.
