Description
Rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus, formerly Rosmarinus officinalis) is the resinous Mediterranean shrub whose needle leaves perfume roast vegetables, potatoes, focaccia, and grilled everything. Its flavour is piney, peppery, and bold — a little commands a dish. Steeped as a tea, rosemary has a long traditional association with memory and clear thinking, and was traditionally used to support circulation and comfortable digestion after rich food. Use whole leaves in cooking and remove sturdy stems before serving. Traditional uses reflect historical practice and are not proven clinical effects.
